comments A Pair of decorative silk hangings from the Tibetan summer palace.  Made of 18th/19th century silk with gilt-wrapped thread crane and peach design.  Made up into hangings around 1900 , with late 19th century tassels. As with ST-19, the finishing and presentation of these banners are characteristic of textile hangings from the summer palace at Norbulingka, where these banners are known to have originated from. Both crane and peach symbolize a wish for long life.
