Antique Khotan rugs, Kirgiz rugs and Kazak carpets from northwest China
The Xinjiang (Sinkiang) region is in the far north-west of China, along the Silk Road route. Rugs were made by nomadic groups such as the Kirgiz (Khirgiz or Kyrgyz) people and also in the oasis towns Kashgar and Khotan. We source our rugs directly from this region, and the standard we sell is much better than the rugs you will generally find.
New carpets have just been added (June 2010), including some excellent decorative and collectable Khotan rugs. Click on the links or images below for a larger image and/or more details.
