An outstanding "naive" design of two lions on a Khotan rug. Certainly produced as a wall-hanging rather than a floor carpet, this carpet is a work of art in its own right. Two characteristic Xinjiang lions stand on a ground with a characteristic Chinese-style scroll design. The carpet is in good condition with very little wear, consistent with its use as a decorative hanging. |
